Located in Colorado's San Luis Valley, the Costilla County Youth Camp is one of CPW's most unique Hunter Education programs.
Since its inception in 1991, 3,500 kids have attended the Costilla County Youth Camp and more than 1,500 kids have earned their hunter safety cards.
The camp, started by District Wildlife Manager Conrad Albert, is part of Colorado Parks and Wildlife's Hunter Education programs. Each year the camp is open to youths in the San Luis Valley and offers hands-on training for rifle and shotgun shooting, archery, survival and much more.
