A Sattvic diet is pure vegetarian nourishment and includes fresh fruit and vegetables, fruit and vegetable juices, wholemeal bread, pulses, grains and sprouts, nuts, seeds, honey, herbs, milk and dairy products which are free of animal rennet.
These foods will raise our consciousness, inspire us to positive action, deeper meditation and unleash our hidden potential and creativity. Sattvic food is cooked with love and eaten with full awareness and gratitude. Yogis are vegetarian for several reasons.
Apart from the health aspect, the main reason being the principle that all living beings are my self. Treat all creatures with respect and love.
Vegetables: Spinach, Carrots, Celery, Potatoes, Broccoli, Kelp, Lettuce, Peas, Cauliflower.
Fruits: Apples, Bananas, Papaya, Mangoes, Cherries, Melons, Peaches, Guava.
Juices: Fresh Fruits Juice, Carrot Juice, Bitter Gourd Juice.
Soups of leafy greens
Grains: Barley, Amaranth, Bulgur, Millet, Quinoa, Wild Rice, Maize.
Nuts and seeds: Walnuts, Almonds, Peanuts, Pecans, Pumpkin Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Sesame Seeds, Unsweetened Coconut, Flax Seeds.
Oils: Olive Oil, Sesame Oil, Flax Oil, Mustard Oil,
Ghee.
Cow Milk, Yogurt, Cheese, Coconut Milk, Cashew Milk.

Lentils, Moong Beans, Chickpeas, Bean Sprouts.
Water, Non-caffeinated Drinks, Herbal Tea.
Coriander, Basil, Nutmeg, Cumin, Fenugreek, Turmeric, Ginger.
Honey and Jaggery.
These are foods you can consume in abdunance!
