One of my friend was travelling in PURI-Valsad train on april,2015. Two lady with a small child and an old person were also travelling in the same compartment . All the tickets were confirmed except one . During the Ticket checking procedure the TTE asked penalty of 1300INR(1300+Full ticket fare) for each person to the lady as she didn’t have confirm ticket and unable to show original ID proof.
According to him A person can't travel with a waiting ticket in reservation birth even if the birth isn’t preoccupied or any other traveller wasn’t travelling. So she had to pay panalty and started to threaten her.It seems like none of the three passanger were unaware of IRCTC penalty charges. They were horrified by the TTE’s charges and the lad was about to cry feeling helpless. After watching this my friend interrupt in the matter and started to record all the incident. So the TTE started to threaten him and warned him to stop recording but he didn’t listen and somehow manage to record the incident. By his action TTE’s voice calm down a little bit and charged only RS 50. Even he was asking 50INR fine for the small child. Later the TTE come back with some CRPF personnel and started to threaten m friend but he over come the situation by telling them he is a journalist.
I am requesting all of you to watch the TTE behavior in the video and make him famous until it reaches to the higher authority.
