this video is looking at Marantz and Pioneer Elite av receivers. Obviously there are several different models and lines from each brand however these two models are more of the flagship models from each company and I am taking a look at the quality of both audio-video receivers in this video . With newer surround sound receivers these days, a lot of them offering 9 or even 11 channels they have digital amplifiers in them and oftentimes a phono preamp inside of them as well... is your surround sound receiver or digital amplifier really the best way to listen to records vinyl or LPs? Oftentimes paying or costing a thousand to $2,000 is the analog music quality really that good? I have found that while listening to a record on the digital amplifiers or surround sound receivers it requires you to turn up the volume significantly higher than any digital source, causing the one thing that is bad for speakers, distortion. In this video I take a look at the Pioneer Elite SC 97 surround sound receiver and the Marantz sr7010 surround sound receiver both with phono preamplifier on board.
Videos comparing digital inputs and video upscaling quality as well as music and audio quality.
