A tiny baby has been rescued by the Nature Conservation Agency Indonesia (BKSDA) and handed over to our Bornean Orangutan Rescue Alliance (BORA) for care. The BKSDA representative can be heard saying, "Hi friends, do you know where the rescue centre located? This poor little girl needs help."
You donation will make a real difference to orphaned orangutans like little Mabel, you can donate here: [ Ссылка ]
The tiny infant had been found by residents in an oil palm plantation, after her mother had been reportedly killed. She'd been kept by residents for a short time but they didn't know how to care for her, only feeding her water and no food. She was malnourished and dehydrated when she was rescued.
The baby, who has been named Mabel (which means 'loveable') is now with our team at our BORA Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre, receiving medical attention, good food, milk and of course love and care. She will recover, but her start in life has been deeply traumatic.
