Ensembl provides alignments of genes and regions between species, for the purpose of comparative genomics. In this video we explore 'sequence based resources', specifically multiple and pairwise whole genome alignments. We also take a look at synteny, which is derived from pairwise whole genome alignments. This video begins with a brief introduction to how the data is generated, followed by a demonstration of how to access the data in the browser.
