Kite back stalls because the air flow cannot follow the extrados of the kite along, unfortunately I didn't mention it.
As on "wind tunnel" example even if you don't see the parcels or smoke going on the extrados of the kite there is still a lot of lift shown, It means the kite is still not back stalling. So to make it simple for you to understand if you use the "Wind Tunnel", just watch the difference in Drag and Lift, because that "Drag becomes equal or higher than the Lift the kite back stalls", we cannot say that this statement is incorrect, but yes, to be complete should be mentioned "the air flow cannot follow the extrados of the kite along".
Aerodynamic is a very complex topic and it can be really difficult to understand it, as kiters it's definitely not necessary to know all the details about aerodynamic :)
