Nick Saban is widely considered as the greatest coach in American College Football history. The American was born in October 1951, in West Virginia; and climbed his way to the apex of sports management.
Since 2007, he has successfully held down the job as Alabama's head coach, but let's take a look at his family that has inspired him to make enormous strides with his skill. Hop on the train and let's move!
Nicholas Saban Sr. was a businessman who owned a gas station and a restaurant. However, Nick Sr. was also a coach as he mentored a youth football team. He got married and became a father of two, with Nick Saban Jr as his first offspring. His dedication to family values ensured that his son became a coach just like him. Unfortunately, he died untimely in 1973 at just 46, due to a heart attack.
Mary Saban married Nick Sr and birthed two children; Nick Jr and Dianna. Apart from the fact that she was seen many times with Nick, not much is known about her personal life unlike her son's.
Like her mother, Nick's sister Dianna Thompson is media-shy. She painstakingly avoids sharing her life with the media, and the only thing known about her is that she lives in Marion County, and has raised three children.
Nick's wife, Terry Constable, was born just one year after him. She was also born in West Virginia and prides herself in being a philanthropist, supportive mother and wife. Her relationship with her husband blossomed while studying together at Kent University, and they got married in 1971. Due to unknown reasons, she and Nick opted to adopt their two children. The couple has lived as one for 50+ years. Can you believe that?
Khristen Saban Setas is Nick's adopted daughter. After graduating from Alabama, she worked as her father's sports team student assistant, before moving on to other ventures. She's married to Adam Setas, and has two beautiful children.
The second adopted child is Nicholas III. He has married his longtime girlfriend, Kelse Laney. They have a child together, although they're now separated. In April 2022, he married again. This time, to Samira Magarov, and they both live happily.
