Chevron's devastation in the Ecuadorean Amazon has been massive. The Texaco corporation, today merged with Chevron sunk its teeth into Ecuador's Amazon back in 1964. During its drilling there, Texaco dumped a shocking 17 million gallons of crude oil and 19 billion gallons of contaminated oil-filled waste water. This is one of the largest oil disasters in history... 140 times the size of the BP oil spill.
