From Twila's 1998 album "Where I Stand", a song about listening to God's voice. We should always be attuned to the voice of God, perhaps subconsciously. But particularly after we pray. Many people make the mistake of praying but then missing the answer because they weren't paying attention. Others get impatient and give up on God and do things their own way. So, we need to have "patience to wait, when there is nothing clear", and when there is "nothing to see, still we believe".
By the way, I sang this song as a solo at my church. My wife and I were contemplating moving out of our community. But we were unsure whether it was the right thing to do. And this song hit me hard. It says "I don't know the way to go from here, but I've already made my choice: this is where I stand, until He moves me on, and I will listen to His voice." (You need to replace the "I's" with "We's", since my wife felt the same way.) Well, God's voice told us to stay where we are, and we are still here. And happy. It's a reminder of Proverbs 3:5, which says "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding." Our understanding is that we wanted to move. God's understanding was that he wanted us to stay. And we listened.
