Stop doing your pullups like this. If you’re rounding your back, thrusting your head forward, and using momentum just to get your chin to the bar, chances are, you just don’t have the strength yet to do a pullup. So instead, try using the assisted pullup machine, so you can practice using the proper technique to actually work your back. That means, pick your head up, puff out your chest, and pull your elbows down and in, then lower yourself all the way down for a full stretch at the bottom. Eventually, you won’t need as much assistance and you’ll be able to do full pull-ups with proper form.
