Again, we pulled back the blinds to a new port - the German city of Kiel. After breakfast with some new Portuguese friends, we disembarked... and began a long search about how to get downtown!
After finally getting downtown, we began a walking tour. It was fascinating to hear about how Kiel was built up during the late 1800s as a naval town, how a canal was dug across northern Germany that is now the busiest in the world, about how the city was bombed in WW2 and now has the largest sailing regatta in the world.
We made many stops throughout the day - coffee shops, jersey finds, and breweries. Back on the boat we packed, had our last dinner and show, and went to bed.
