A quick video DIY guide on how to identify and replace the brake switch on a newer model 2014 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 316CDI (as well as other MB vehicles).
The brake switch is a common component to fail, and will cause ESP error warnings on the dash, as well a preventing the use of cruise control until fixed. Ideally you should use a code reader to identify the cause of the ESP error, as it can be caused by the brake switch, ABS sensor, ECU and a few other things.
If it is the brake switch, you are in luck as it is a quick, easy and relatively inexpensive part to replace!
Make sure you remove the switch, get the part number and order the correct shape and size part as they do vary between year models.
