Welcome to Anderson's SmokeShow! In this episode we smoke 6 racks of baby back ribs in a Pit Boss 5-Series Pellet Smoker!
For this smoke we used the Pit Boss Fruit Blend Pellets! Which consists of apple, cherry, and maple wood.
The 3-2-1 method is is a simple way to smoke ribs which produces succulent ribs that are not only tender , but extremely juicy as well! This how to recipe is easy to follow and easy to reproduce!
Regardless the of my rib method I ALWAYS BRINE MY RIBS OVERNIGHT! In this video I used an apple juice and apple cider vinegar brine. Which consists of 1tbsp Apple cider vinegar per 1 cup of apple juice. I shoot for about 12hrs refrigerated.
The 3-2-1 method:
- 3 hours dry rubbed and smoked at 200F.
- 2 hours wrapped in foil at 225F. At this point you can add butter and brown sugar like I did in the video. You can also use apple juice, cola, or go without.
- 1 hour sauced with no foil at 225F.
** if you want to expose the ribs to more smoke you can set to a low temp/smoke setting. The pit boss would be set to 150F or Smoke and run for an extra 30 minutes at the beginning of the smoke session**
