The waters between the Hawaiian island of Lanai, and the neighboring islands of Maui and Molokai, are notoriously choppy and full of hazards.
A beach off the coast is home to several shipwrecks. One of them, a WW2 era tanker, was intentionally grounded here 70 years ago.
It's a bit of a trek to get here, and you'll need a 4-wheel-drive vehicle, but the adventure is worth the hassle!
