Battlefield™ 2042 is a first-person shooter that takes you back to the franchise's iconic large-scale warfare. In a near-future world transformed by disorder, you and your squad adapt with an advanced arsenal on dynamic and changing battlefields. In 2042, extreme weather conditions and conflicts over raw materials have shifted the balance of power in the world. Colossal and dynamic environments

The war now feels even more spectacular and bigger on seven massive maps, created on the basis of an updated design philosophy. Each battlefield has multiple unique battle zones in one play area. This allows for more variety and more meaningful gameplay with vehicles: tanks have more room to roam, fighter planes have more airspace to maneuver. These maps face ever-changing combat conditions and gameplay challenges. Respond to dynamic events and disasters on the spot, such as sandstorms in the deserts of Qatar, a rocket launched from the Space Center in French Guiana, and tornadoes that threaten the concrete jungles of South Korea.

An advanced arsenal

Unleash your creativity in battle with a full range of advanced weapons, vehicles, fighter jets, helis and all-new gear inspired by the near future of 2042. Summon the Ranger, a robotic dog built for battle, use the Syrette Pistol to revive squadmates from a distance, throw a grappling hook to reach new places, don a wingsuit, deploy a scout drone, and more.

Specialists

Choose your role on the battlefield and create your own squads via the new Specialist system. Specialists are based on the four classes of Battlefield and have one unique Specialty and Trait, but the rest of the gear is fully configurable. If you choose and use the Specialist, you get synergy in your squad and you can handle any combat situation.

New Seasons, New Content

You and the community progress in Battlefield™ 2042 through a Seasons system, which continuously introduces new updates to the game. Seasons, inspired by new stories, includes content such as Specialist soldiers, locations, weapons and vehicles. Those wishing to continue their Battlefield™ 2042 journey can purchase the Year 1 Pass and secure 4 new Specialists, 4 Battle Passes and 3 Epic Skin Bundles (“Blistered Earth”, “Tempest” and “Cold Blood”).
