Back home from my Tenerife adventure, I’m out on The Royal Enfield Classic 350 over the East Yorkshire Wolds.
It’s good to get back on my own bike, the familiar note from the exhaust, and much less vibration than the 500 I rode over in Tenerife.
Riding along I was going over possible names for her in my head. Driving towards me I saw a Morris 1000 Traveller in dark blue, just like the one my my dad had when I was a kid.
I started thinking of all the fun we had in that car, affectionally known as Betsy. Then it came to me – Betsy - that was it, She Has a Name! The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is christened Betsy.
It’s a fitting name as, just as we did in the Traveller, I love exploring the back roads, “where does that road go” must be the most used phrase when I’m out.
