Sweet Dalia in pressure cooker is easy, quick and straight forward dish to whip up. Daliya is called as “ baat” in Sindhi. As we all know that daliya is cracked or broken wheat prepared by coarsely milling the whole wheat dusk. Roast dalia in ghee , pressure cook the dalia, add sugar / jaggery , cardamom, black pepper and finally garnish it with nuts of your choice,that’s it.
So when you are short of time and still looking for a sweet treat , then do try this recipe Baat jo seero, made with just five ingredients.

Note
1.The daliya used is of thick variety. The amount of water will vary as per the variety of dalia used.
2.When the pressure settles naturally, open the lid and check whether the daliya is cooked well. If not, add water and pressure cook again.
3.One can add the dry fruits at the end to retain the crunchiness. Stir fry them in ghee and keep aside. You can also skip this step of stir frying the nuts and can add them directly at the end.
4.Roasting Dalia in ghee will give you best flavours and it taste great when cooked with fresh homemade ghee.
5.One can increase the amount of sugar as required.
6.Sugar can be replaced with jaggery. Note that the color and the taste of the sweet Dalia will change accordingly.
7.Traditionally we don’t add fennel seeds , but I personally have started adding it to the recipe.(optional)
8.One can also add coconut savings along with dry fruits. ( optional)
