As we continue to manage our way through a public health crisis while planning for changes in the workplace that will come with the economy of the future, ASU engineering and technology graduates will have a critical role to play. ASU engineering and technology graduates attract major companies, start new ones, and help those here continue to grow and create high wage jobs, supporting the state’s economic development strategy.
Fast-growing sectors like manufacturing, information technology, health care, business services, and energy are education-intensive, demanding both knowledge-based and applied skills. Arizona Board of Regents has responded by proposing the New Economy Initiative, a plan to ensure ASU’s Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering are ahead of the curve in meeting the assignment to prepare Arizona’s workforce of tomorrow.
