Here’s there backstories
Happy: happy was bullied for his personality by other kids. They found him annoying and would beat him up and prank him. Even tho happy was sad he tried to block them out with music
Sneezy: sneezy’s powerful sneezes destroyed his home town. The town along with his parents kicked him out. He tried to control his sneezes but since he was still young he sneezes were out of control.
Dopey: dopey was abandoned by his parents and left to survive in the wild.
Bashful: bashful was shy he ran away home and his town to be alone. He became very lonely but he was to afraid to go back.
Doc: doc was overworked by his parents and was forced to work all day. His parents would get really mad if got a B in school or if he didn’t finish his Inventions. This made doc feel like he was a disappointment.
Sleepy: sleepy’s Narcolepsy made it hard for him to stay awake in school. Since back then no knew what that was he was seen as lazy. He tried to stay awake but he couldn’t. He didn’t know what was wrong with him and felt like he was not normal.
Grumpy: grumpy was bullied by kids for being “fat and ugly”. He was bullied for the way his hair looked and how he wasn’t the best at school. This made grumpy so upset he decided he wasn’t going to be nice anymore. 
Stinky: stinky grew up in an orphanage with no friends. He was never adopted and was very lonely none of the kids liked him.
