In this historical documentary, we explained the history of Norway 🇸🇯
From thousands of years ago, when Norway was covered with snow, to the history of the Vikings and the arrival of today's Norway, Norway is one of the oldest kingdoms in Europe.
In 1814, at the end of the Napoleonic wars, Norway tried to become autonomous again, but this country came under the rule of the Swedish kings. In 1349 AD, i.e. 700 years ago, the outbreak of the plague changed the lives of the people of Norway and killed between 50 and 60% of the people of this country.
Norway was neutral in the First World War, but this war caused heavy damages to its shipping industry.
Because Germany had attacked it, Norway was occupied by Germany during the years 1940 to 1945 and many parts of the country were destroyed during the war. Buildings, factories and most of the cities were bombed and razed to the ground.
The formation of the Norwegian Empire had a significant impact on the history of Europe, Germany and even the history of the world. Norway is now a constitutional monarchy, and Harald V of the Schleswig-Holstein Sonderburg Glocksburg dynasty is the king of Norway.
Jonas Gare Store is the Prime Minister of Norway from 2021.
