There are five journals to find in The Quest for Guybrush Tall Tale. Finding all five journals will unlock the 'Escape from Mêlée Island' commendation. The journals you are looking for belong to Elaine. She wrote and left them behind during her escape.

However, before you can find any of the journals, you’ll need to clear the fog from the island. After you clear the fog and gain access to the rest of Mêlée Island, you’ll be able to find and read every journal.
