On the occasion of the 71st Republic Day of India, in the morning of 26 January 2020, H.E. Ambassador Mr. Sanjay Kumar Verma hoisted the National Flag at the Embassy of India in Tokyo in the presence of huge number (about 700) of members of enthusiastic Indian Community, Japanese and friends of India.

This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the customary reading out by the Ambassador of the President’s Address to the Nation on the eve of Republic Day. Students of India International School in Japan (IISJ), Tokyo and Global Indian International School (GIIS), Tokyo and a group of ladies from Embassy sang patriotic songs.
