Time management has always been one of the biggest difficulties for me in chess. Even in longer games, I play too slowly and often find myself low on the clock. But in the last year or so, I've made a point of working on my time management, and I've actually had some solid improvement in this area. These are the tips I try to keep in mind to intentionally use the clock to my advantage!
Shoutout to JJ Lang, who talks more extensively about some of these ideas on both the chessfeels podcast (ep. 12) and in their interview on the Chess Journeys podcast (ep. 51).
