I am currently experimenting with editing animations in nifskope to make them fit other purposes, or even expanding them with LastShot files they didn't otherwise have. This is all pretty new to me, so I don't know for sure if this exact process will work for all animations, but I imagine it will be similar no matter what.
TEXT INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP 1:
- Open attack animation you wish to edit with nifskope
STEP 2:
- Select the NiControllerSequence from the left menu and douple click on the 'txt' icon near the bottom where it says 'Name'
- Rename it to AttackLoop (AttackLoopIS for IS animations)
STEP 3:
- Click the drop down on the NiControllerSequence
- The first entry in the list should be NiTextKeyExtraData, click it
- Near the bottom it should open a new menu with another drop down next to 'Text Keys'
- Expand that and all drop downs underneath it
STEP 4:
- Find the 'Hit' text key and double click the 'txt' icon
- Rename it to interruptLoop (case sensitive)
STEP 5:
- Above where it says 'Text Keys' it should also say 'Num Text Keys'
- Double click the number next to it and add one (1) to it
- Double click the refresh button directly below
STEP 6:
- Scroll to the bottom of the list, there should be a new, unexpanded entry. Expand it
- Double click the 'Time' value. I simply copy pasted a value from another AttackLoop animation.
(the value you put here needs to be the second lowest, only above the value entered for 'start' and below the value for interruptLoop)
- Double click 'txt' and name it noBlend (case sensitive)
STEP 7:
- Save as 1hpAttackLoop. Repeat the same process for 1hpAttackLoopIS
