Australian shares witnessed muted trade on Monday, swinging between gains and losses as traders making cautious moves in absence of any major direction. The ASX 200 dropped 0.2% by mid-session, led by tech and health care stocks, including Zip Co, Afterpay, Nearmap, CSL, and Sigma Healthcare. However, strong buying in gold stocks such as Silver Lake Resources, Regis, Gold Road Resources as well as grocery wholesaler Metcash limited market losses.
