Just a little bonus video between covers!
I'm very proud of the mixing and EQ here. See below for a list of equipment, but I have mics on the snare, toms, hi hat, bass drum, and an overhead. I've started adding plug-ins and EQ to each track separately, instead of my old technique of mixing the entire drum track at once. Honestly, it makes my videos from even just a few months ago sound a little dated already!
As for the playing, it' s simple part but Ringo is solid as a rock. Really great example of the slightly open hi-hat "swish" driving the energy of a song.
Major thanks to Russ Lease of www.BeatleSuits.com for painting this drumhead! This one is Drop-T #3, featured in the film "A Hard Day's Night." I have a soft spot for this particular variation of the Beatles logo. I don't think my set has ever looked more like the real thing than here.
I mentioned this on my last video, but I'm anticipating the arrival of a new set of Ludwigs, which should be ready to go around when I'm finishing up "A Hard Day's Night." Can't wait to see them in action! [ Ссылка ]
As for upcoming covers, work has been very busy lately but I'm finishing up "And I Love Her" this weekend, and I should have some time to bang out the next round of songs very soon.
Thanks for all your support!
