A man was shot and killed during an apparent robbery outside Hollywood Restaurant Bossa Nova early Tuesday morning.
The shooting happened at approximately 2:10 a.m.
The victim was 23 years old. He was in his white Mercedes SUV when a group of men attempted to rob a woman who was standing outside of the vehicle.
He got out of the car and attempted to stop the robbery. LAPD said gunshots were exchanged between the suspects and victim before he was shot dead by the suspects.
LAPD says there may be up to 8 suspects involved. A black Nissan 4 door car is suspected to be a get away vehicle.
No arrests have been made as of Tuesday and no description of the suspects are available.
