JULIA: There are so many things I enjoy about the start of a new academic year. Waiting to see our returning students come back to the University, meeting all of our new first-year students. But this year is going to be particularly special as we welcome all business students at Guelph [Video cuts to exterior shot of Macdonald Hall] to our new home in Macdonald Hall.
MADELINE: The fact that we have all of our student resources our academic resources our student clubs it will mean we can assist all the first-year and current students more effectively and I'm really excited about it.
JULIA: There are so many fabulous places in Macdonald Hall. [Video cuts to footage of marketplace, lounges and group study areas appears as Julia speaks about each area] The marketplace is probably at the top of the list. It's going to provide business students and faculty and staff and community partners a wonderful place to meet and connect and to learn together, but we also have some fabulous new classrooms and we have lounges and hallway learning groups and bookable team learning rooms right that are going to support collaborative team learning for our students.
MADELINE: I hope that students really take advantage of the resources that are all around them at the University of Guelph. We have fantastic connections with top employers [Video cuts to photos of students at Deloitte event, employers panel and Networking Night] and for those who are looking for graduation we have wonderful events such as Networking Night.
JULIA: [Voiceover photos of students at Networking Night] The friends that you make at university will be your business associates in the future and so I think that the stronger your network the better your future.
MADELINE: If there's any advice that I could give which I don't know how much I can because I'm still you know in the role of student myself, it's you know, be bold again ask those questions don't be afraid to be your true self at university that's the best place to do it and you'll never know what opportunities might arise or the people you'll meet.
VIDEO: Video ends with Business + Leaders for a Sustainable World logo followed by College of Business and Economics logo. Music ends.
