Based on the fifth installment of the Alone in the Dark series.

I've wanted to make a movie trailer for the fifth game for some time because I LOVE the soundtrack and I actually really liked the idea of setting the game in and around New York's Central Park. More properly Alone in the Dark's original games were more about puzzle solving then combat and a true Alone in the Dark film would more likely be cerebral then a horror/action piece...but then again I'd personally pay top dollar to see a mystery set in a crumbling New York devoured by darkness and beset by monsters that can only be destroyed with fire.
The main character of Alone in the Dark Five is the same as the first game: Edward Carnby. Interestingly the fifth game works in the same chronology as the previous Alone in the Dark games (which were set in the 1930s) so Edward awakens in modern day to discover he's literally a hundred years old. Why has he been awakened? What is the long held occult secret of Central Park? How can the darkness be stopped once and for all?
Alone Five was not the best received game and notorious for release bugs, but I still think it had a nifty original premise and one of the best soundtracks for a video game in years.

P.S Look at the names of the 'reporters' who wrote the newspaper articles at the beginning closely ;)
