STORYLINE
PAMELA ANDERSON STEALS THE WESTWOOD SHOW
Pamela Anderson guest-modeled at Vivienne Westwood's ready to wear show this Friday in Paris.
The former Baywatch star swapped her swimsuit for three no-less sizzling looks: a satin-draped tutu with arms strapped in her back, hot-pants and second-skin skirt suit.
"It's not my first time in Paris but my first time doing this", Anderson said backstage. "Well you know, I'll have a good time, just add it to the list of fun things I get to do."
Westwood entitled her fall 2009 collection "+5 degrees" to bring awareness to the global warming theory where a rise of 5 degrees of the world's temperature would mean only one fifth of the population could support itself.
"I always highjack my fashion to make political statements" explained the punk style designer, "the show is called 5 degrees more, + five degrees, which is going to happen. Meaning that most of the human race will die within a very short time unless we do something."
Westwood said to have been inspired by a Louvre museum exhibit of painter Mantegna during last season. The Venetian Renaissance artist's influence translated itself into grey fine wools and cashmere dresses.
In these hard economic times, Westwood's fashion tip is to be "wearing things back to front and doing your shirt buttons all wrong and mixing summer and winter and evening and day wear. Just don't buy so much but choose well and do it yourself."
Former 'Baywatch' star Pamela Anderson will walk the ramp for designer Vivienne Westwood's autumn/winter collection in Paris on Friday.
