Larry Potterfield, Founder and CEO of Midway, teaches the technique for filling the grain in preparation for finish. Using a Winchester model 12 and the Miles Gilbert Stock Finishing Kit, he shows how to completely fill the pores of the wood using the stock filler included in the kit. This process usually requires only three applications of filler, with a day of drying time between each application.
