Episode 2 of Ask The Pharmacist Series is answering the question of “Can NSAIDS cause stomach ulcers?” This is a great question & a very common question as many NSAIDS like ibuprofen, naproxen, and aspirin are available over the counter (OTC). I begin by explaining what NSAIDS are, share some common drug examples (not an all inclusive list), explain their mechanism of action (how they work) and then finish by explaining how they can potentially cause a stomach ulcer to occur.
