How to use a 555 timer to control a high current load
In this video we are using a 555 timer in astable mode to generate a pulse. By using a couple of .1 uF capacitors we generate a frequency of about 393Hz. And by using a 100k and a variable 10k resistor we can adjust the duty cycle from between about 67% and 99%.
And this setup is great for driving a digital load, but what if we want to use it as a PWM signal for a high current load? Watch the video to find out.
