From the video: - [Justin Lovely] The first question that you should always ask your adjuster is how much are their insurance limits. They're probably gonna refuse to tell you and unless you have an attorney or know the law, they're not gonna disclose that information to you. The second question you need to ask them is how much check writing authority do you have? That's gonna tell you a lot because different adjusters have different ranges of authority and by authority, I mean how much they can actually write to settle your case, settle your motorcycle accident. It's also gonna tell you how much the insurance company's gonna tell you how much they think your claim is worth, right from the beginning. The next question you need to ask, what is their settlement reserve? That's also gonna tell you how much they think your case is worth. Now, an insurance company has to set a reserve by law so that the state's insurance commissioner's office basically knows that the insurance company has adequate funds to pay your claim. So what they'll do is set that reserve early in the case, of course, they're never gonna tell you that and they don't even want you asking them that. The fourth question to ask your adjuster, does the actual insurer, the at fault person who hit you, do they have other insurance policies and they never want you to know that because they don't wanna pay their limits. But go ahead and ask them. And finally, a question I always tell clients to ask the adjusters if they want to try to handle it on their own, can you get a copy of the recorded statement of their insured? Of course, they're gonna try to get you to leave a record statement and give your version of the facts but are they willing to give you a copy of their recorded statement? They're gonna refuse to give it to you. Remember these questions and ask them and just see what the adjuster says. And I can't stress enough. You're gonna need a lawyer to protect your rights. Of course, I'm here. My team is here to help you. We handle motorcycle cases all across the state.
