Since several weeks leftist organizations are trying to demonstrate against the military organizations of Turkey against the Kurdish population in the south-east of the country. Every day the police disperses the protests with brute force.
Today the pro-Kurdish HDP, a legal party represented in Turkish parliament, tried to hold a rally which was yet again violently dispersed.
As a reaction members of the youth-organization of the illegalized PKK (workers party of Kurdistan), the YDG-H (patriotic revolutionary youth movement) took to the streets, stopped cars to erect barricades and attacked the police with Molotov cocktails.
The clashes lasted for several hours.
