Ed Gross, co-writer of the brand new book, The Unofficial Oral History of Planet of the Apes (Volumes 1 and 2), sat down with me to talk about the experience of assembling such an massive and ambitious project that tells the story of how every single Planet of the Apes movie was made. We also discussed his writing career, getting to talk to franchise royalty like Roddy McDowall, Charlton Heston, and Andy Serkis, our collective love of the franchise and why we think it's been so successful, and so much more!
