Here is an introduction to the Pentatonic Scale Family (Forte No. 5-35). If you don't already know, the major pentatonic and the minor pentatonic are just modes/scales pulled from the same overarching Pentatonic Family.
We will use as many visual elements as possible to try to make lightbulbs happen. I hope that this video will spur on more parts as I already have so many ideas for future videos; it's more just a motivation issue.
I also think this video is a great place for someone who is trying to grasp "diatonic modes", often just referred to, albeit a little imprecisely, as "modes" or "the modes". Because we have only 5 notes to work with here, versus the usual 7, it should reduce complexity right off the bat.
