Unveiling the 2025 AUDI Q6 E-TRON : Everything You Need to Know
Hey, guess what? The new Audi Q6 E-Tron has finally hit the scene! After we got our hands on a near-production prototype back in July 2023 and drooled over its sleek cockpit decked out with digital screens, we've now got all the juicy details.
So, what's under the hood of this bad boy? Well, it's packing Audi's Premium Platform Electric architecture, which they're sharing for the first time with Porsche Macan EV, but this time, it's rocking that Audi badge. It's got an 800-volt system with two electric motors giving some extra love to the rear end in terms of power and weight distribution. They're launching it with two trims—the standard Q6 and the performance beast SQ6—both rocking the same 100-kWh battery pack. Oh, and don't worry, Sportback trims are coming soon, along with a rear-wheel-drive version for those who crave more range.
Over in North America, lucky buyers can expect a sweet 422 horsepower from the Q6 E-Tron, a cool 40 horses more than its European counterpart. But wait, it gets even spicier with the SQ6 clocking in at 483 hp. Hit that launch control button, and you'll be blasting off with 456 hp in the Q6 and a whopping 510 hp in the SQ6. Audi claims the Q6 can hit 60 mph in about 5.0 seconds with launch control, but if you upgrade to the SQ6, you're looking at a jaw-dropping 4.2 seconds.
Audi's throwing around an EPA estimate of 300 miles for the standard Q6 E-Tron, but no word yet on the SQ6. But hey, since both trims are using the same battery, it's a safe bet the SQ6 might have a slightly shorter range when it's official later this year. What's really got us intrigued though is the Q6 E-Tron's 800-volt charging mojo; it can juice up from 10 to 80 percent in just 21 minutes with a DC fast charger, sucking down a hefty 270 kW.
