This fire safety stick fire extinguisher can tackle a wide range of different fire types. It leaves to harmful residue as you'd see from common dry powder fire extinguishers.
Class A fire (Solid combustibles eg plastics, wood, textiles),
Class B fire (Flammable liquids eg petrol, diesel),
Class C fire (Flammable gases eg propane, butane, methane),
Electrical fire
Class F fire (Cooking oils, deep fat fryers)
*** The chemistry bit ***
Inside the non-pressurised container, it is essentially a solid resin of Potassium Nitrate, though the
method creating that resin is very unique and special.
Once activated, a chemical reaction is started so that it is broken down into Nitrogen Gas which starts the propulsion pushing the active ingredients of Potassium Free Radicals. These Potassium Ions have to bind onto oxygen. And so, this takes the oxygen away from the fire at a local level, therefore starving the fire of oxygen, it suppresses and extinguishes it.
The newly combined Potassium and oxygen (Potassium Oxide) are very fine white particles which
just dissipate into the atmosphere, totally harmless with no effect on the environment.
(There is also a very small amount of water vapour created but this is very fine and negligible)
