Marcos Eberlin is the famed chemist whose book Foresight: How the Chemistry of Life Reveals Planning and Purpose is out now from Discovery Institute Press ([ Ссылка ]), trailing endorsements from Nobel Prize-winning scientists. Dr. Eberlin was in our offices and I had the opportunity to ask him how his field of mass spectrometry relates to arguments for intelligent design.

As Eberlin explains, it’s a powerful scientific tool to open the “black box,” as biochemist Michael Behe put it, of life’s secrets not at the superficial macro level but downward to the molecular level. Eberlin cites the quip that “evolution hopes you don’t know chemistry.” But intelligent design hopes you do!
