We had an absolute blast on our adventures around New Zealand in this offroad hybrid caravan.
Fulltime traveling has been our dream for a long time, we had made a lot of research about options for our home on the wheels and this was the best for us.
We knew we didn't want any UK caravan. We had one before and they are just not made for New Zealand roads at all.
if you wanna explore places a bit of the beaten track, you need something what is at least semi-offroad. Roads leading to these places are often very narrow and windy. So a huge offroad caravan wasn't the best option either. Hybrid caravan doesn't have as much space inside as these huge caravans, but we were totally fine with that, we wanted to spend as much time as possible outside anyway.
This caravan has a double bunk and the bottom bed is a double - easily fits two children. Main fold-out bed is super king size or maybe even bigger, so we certainly had enough sleeping space even as a family of five.
It has a huge outdoor kitchen which was the best part. We could spend time together as a family outside, while cooking as well.
In case of bad weather this caravan has an electric awning which comes with sides and a floor and can be fully enclosed. This gave us an option of having an extra enclosed room when it was raining for couple of days in a row. But that didn't happen very often.
For colder days it has a diesel heater installed which we used quite a bit over the winter and it was nice and cozy inside the caravan.
Of course it has a toilet and a shower as well. It's equipped with solar panels and a good lithium battery which gave us the option of living offgrid pretty much the whole time.
We absolutely loved this van! And wouldn't choose any other for our NZ travels. It took us everywhere we wanted!
