World Elephant Day was on August 12, but we had a chance to admire and celebrate these majestic beasts a few days early while visiting Addo Elephant National Park on National Women's Day on Sunday August 9. A short distance after our entry into the park we were surprised by this elephant crossing the road right in front of us, munching a bit on the bush on the side of the road, and then passing the car.
