Killer sharks just want to have fun.
This great white shark got curious when it recently encountered this underwater camera off the coast of New Zealand. It started with a few playful nudges — then, a full-on grab, bringing the camera to the surface not once, but three times.
The playful footage was captured for the Global FinPrint Project, which studies shark habitats around the world. Overfishing in New Zealand has driven many sharks out of their homes, so finding this playful creature was rare.
