Dual-booting FreeDOS and Linux is indeed possible. Even though I wouldn't recommend to do so, this video will show you how to setup a computer with both operating systems installed.
I will do this in a virtual machine for demonstration purposes. Of course, it is possible to do the same stuff on a physical machine.
