The Dhaka Ashulia elevated expressway route will link the south of Dhaka with the north of Dhaka. It will connect the capital to different parts of the city, passing through different neighborhoods and townships.
The elevated expressway route is expected to ease traffic congestion in Dhaka and make it easier for people to commute between different parts of the city. The construction of this elevated expressway route was approved by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on December 29, 2017. The project is expected to be completed in 2021 at the cost of Tk 4,000 crore.
This is the first map of Dhaka’s elevated expressway. It was created by Dhaka Metropolitan Development Authority (DMDA) and showed the route of the elevated expressway from its beginning at Ashulia to its end at Gulshan.
The map is divided into sections, and each section has a different color. The color of each section represents the number of lanes in that section. For example, there are five lanes in Section 1, 2 lanes in Section 2, 3 lanes in Section 3, 4 lanes in Section 4, and 5 lanes in Section 5.

The second part starts from Bangabandhu Bridge and ends in Ashulia. This part has three 8-kilometer-long viaducts, with a total length of 24 kilometers and a total width of 38 meters. It also has one 6-kilometer-long causeway with an estimated cost.
