This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Jessica had only just arrived in the UK from New Zealand when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. In a deeply emotional talk, she describes her life-changing experience, the challenges she struggled with and how she eventually got back to her happy place. She explains that the prevention of breast cancer is, literally, in our hands.
Jessica Weller is a teacher from New Zealand who had been in London for four months when she was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 27. She stayed in the UK and went through life-saving cancer treatment there while working full time as a teacher and travelling Europe. Jessica is now a cancer survivor, a patient advocate and educator promoting awareness for Breast Cancer.
