Just messing around in the Creation Kit for Fallout 4. The idea is to establish a game mechanic in which half-consumed items are returned to the player once the original item is consumed. Not sure if anyone has used the mechanic in a mod outside of Skyrim. Thought it was an interesting idea so messed around with it using the vanilla bottlecap adder script. It works, and I like the idea of it, so will be using it in a survival overhaul mod I'm working on.
This video covers the following:
How to duplicate a consumable object to create a new one
How to add a magic effect to a consumable object
How to add sound to a consumable object to simulate drinking
How to create a new papyrus script
How to create new properties within a papyrus script
How to re-use a default papyrus script to make your own
How to create a BA2 archive to house your scripts for uploading to Bethesda.net or to use the in-game mod manager
Notes:
When testing in-game, my controller right stick did not work properly. That is the reason it looked like I was doing a slow pan of the table. I forgot to remove CustomControlMap.txt from my game folder and rename the F4SE plugin folder.
I'm learning how to use OBS Studio, so made a video with it. I have a mic, but am not very good with instructions. Hopefully, this is useful to someone without verbosity from me.
PC save used is not mine. I mostly play on console so did not have one available with clutter and beer bottle. Wanted to test with a high-level, un-modded character with no console commands used, so I downloaded someone's tester from Nexus mods. Probably should have just created a test cell with the item and coc'd directly from the main menu to save time. Welp. Next time.

Music is from the Fallout Series. Which is awesome, since that's what I'm modding.
