The 9th generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft use AMD components, and several of those parts have similar equivalents available on the consumer market. In this video I’m looking at the Radeon RX 6700 non-XT, a relatively small production run GPU from AMD that shares more than a few things in common with the GPU in Sony’s PlayStation 5. In addition to my usual performance tests, I’ll also be trying to emulate console optimisations (using Digital Foundry’s guides as a reference point where possible) to see if this really does perform like a PS5.
