While the precise origins of the sport of curling are unknown, the first written evidence of the sport was in Scotland.
In writings dating from 1541, there is a reference to 'a contest with stones thrown upon ice' at Paisley Abbey in Renfrewshire where a monk played a form of the game of curling with a relative of the Abbot of the Abbey.
Through the eyes of a pair of curling enthusiasts in Scotland, World Curling TV discovers some of the early origins of the sport.
